At 1800 meters of altitude, Plagne 1800 is one of the 10 ski centres that makes up La Plagne in the Savoie French Alps. Plagne 1800 is known as the backwater of La Plagne with a special charm. It is an old mining village that still sports the traditional wooden chalets with locally quarried 'blue lauze' slate roofs. For ones looking to get away from the hustle of the Plagne Centre on their ski holiday to La Plagne; Plagne 1800 has a good selection of shops, pubs and affordable restaurants.
